Our school staff are working diligently to ensure that we have a safe environment for all of the students, staff and the surrounding community. We are asking for your help with this.
Please make sure to follow these expectations:
Arrival: Students should arrive on school property (courtyard, field or playground out back) ahead of the 9am bell. They should be lining up and entering the building with their teacher.
Parents should not be bringing them into the building before 9am.
Late arrival: It happens, sometimes! If your student is arriving after 9am, they must sign in at the front office. Mrs. Walsh will give them a welcome paper for their teacher and then they can head to class.
Early departure: If a student needs to leave before the bell at the end of the day (even if it’s just a few moments before the 2:54pm bell), a caregiver needs to come into the front office and sign the child out. No adult has permission to come into the building and head straight to a classroom. For a variety of reasons, we need to know exactly who is in our building so please sign in.
End of day: All students exit the building into the courtyard or the walkway near the play structure. Please try to meet your students there if you are picking up. If you are late picking up and/or cannot locate your student out back, please check with the staff that are outside first and then walk around the building to the front to see if the office staff can help locate the child. Do not enter the building from any of the back doors.
Dropping off in personal vehicles: If you drive your student to school and drop them off, please follow the signs and rules of the road – pull over along the field fencing or near the courtyard entrances along 2nd or near the playground fencing along 3rd. Under no circumstances are vehicles to be looping through the School District office parking lot or into the bus loop.
